BBNZ Referee Courses

To progress on the BBNZ (and CBA) referee pathway, there are a number of courses offered to improve your officiating.

 

Currently BBNZ has Level One (suitable for those officiating in our B15A/G16 Grades and higher), and Level Two (for those officiating at B17A Level and higher) courses available.

These courses usually consist of three parts:

  • An online course you complete in your own time
  • A practical workshop (you must have completed the online course before being able to attend this)
  • An on-court assessment (which is done after the practical workshop). You can request to be assessed, by filling in this form)

To Register For A Course

  • Head to the BBNZ e-learning hub through this link: nz.basketball/etrainu
  • Scroll down and find the course you are interested in enrolling in, click on the course tile to read the course description and then click enrol, which will open a new tab with a GameDay form
  • Please use your existing GameDay log in details if you already have one, if needed use the forgot password function. Otherwise, create your GameDay profile and enrol by following the instructions
  • Once enrolled you should receive a confirmation email within 15mins, use the link in the email to access your Member Profile, or you can use this link: members.nz.basketball
  • Once you are logged into your Member Profile, click ‘Qualifications’ and then click ‘Log into etrainu’. This will automatically log you into etrainu and link your GameDay profile with etrainu for a complete record of your learning and basketball history

  • Once in etrainu, click ‘My Training’ to view your course, if it is not showing up for you, please wait 15 minutes and try again as the two platforms can take time to sync
  • To access your course in the future, you will need to go through your Members Profile, we suggest bookmarking the Members Profile web page to make it easier
  • To register for a practical workshop, you can see what is being offered under the “Training Event” tab

  • Then select the workshop, and if you have completed the prerequisites, you will be able to enrol in it
