Perform

Trial for Representative Teams (near end of Term One), with following strands included

  • JIT on Queen’s Birthday Weekend (U15 and U17)
  • SDL in Term Four (U14 and above)

 

Excel (via Representative Program)

Metro and Mainland Teams to play in age-based National/Regional Tournaments

U13 and above (U19 over Queen’s Birthday; U15 and U17 in July Holidays; U23 in August)

BBNZ Representative Pathway

 

Referee

Referee Miniball, Y5/6, Y7/8, 3×3, SDL, JIT, All Stars, U15 and U17 games (with appropriate referee development opportunities provided)

 

Coach

Apply to become a coach in the after school Hoops Academy

Coaching primary/intermediate aged teams from their previous, or local, school

Growing Coaches programme may be offered in your school, and give you a team to coach there, as well as receiving development from the CBA and Sport Canterbury

 

Be a Fan

Go to, or watch online, Rams’ (NBL) games (approx. April – July)

Go to, or watch online, Wildcats’ (WBC) Tournaments (May – August)

Watch the NZ Breakers (Australian NBL) (October – April)

Attend CBA Club games (April – September)

Attend CBA or BBNZ tournaments hosted here (June – December)

Watch NBA/College/FIBA competitions (all year)
