The CBA is sad to farewell Carol Bathurst from the Referee Manager’s position. We have a quick note from Carol, as well as our best wishes for her
A quick note from Carol:
I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for all their hard work and unfailing support during my time as Referee Manager. I truly appreciate the efforts made and the fact that so many of you went ‘the extra mile’.
To everyone who has been in contact, thank you for your good wishes and kind thoughts.
It has been a pleasure to work with such a talented and supportive group of referees and floor controllers.
I hope I continue to see many of you during the season as I continue in my role as a BBNZ Educator at Premierships and Nationals.
Thank you all once again,
Carol
The CBA is sad to farewell Carol Bathurst from the Referee Manager’s position.
Carol has worked tirelessly over the last three years to train, mentor, appoint, transport, feed, and support referees from the Canterbury Region and beyond. She started in 2014 under trying circumstances and helped to right the ship with regard to referee development and appointments.
During her time, the Canterbury region has consistently supplied the most referees to National Tournaments, and our region remains the envy of many associations due to the depth of our referee resources.
Carol has a real passion for developing and supporting all of the basketball community, and we are pleased that she will still be involved in the BBNZ tournaments.
We want to wish Carol all the best for the future, and hope that her talents will continue to be fully utilised.
