Our winter club survey is closing in two weeks’ time – make sure your say counts
If you have not taken the survey yet, please do so before we close this off (30 October 2019).
The whole survey should take most people five minutes to do (a little bit more if you have more feedback for us!)
Some preliminary responses (and outcomes where applicable) we are seeing from initial responses are as follows (note, this is not exhaustive):
COMPETITIONS
We will investigate further and see if particular grades have a consistent desire
Women’s Development Manager to investigate alternative format for this competition to better align with WNBL season and players.
These competitions, and potentially Sunday ones as well are draws that can be created earlier than Saturday ones.
CBA to look for other ways to make sure this is communicated (in addition to being on our Entry Fee Schedule)
CBA to discuss this with relevant parties, and come up with a rule that is easier to administer than the current BBNZ rule.
CBA to discuss with each club their feelings here – if the extra cost and tip-time adjustments will be worth it.
GLORY LEAGUE
CBA is currently in discussions to get system installed at other courts we expect to use a lot in 2020.
CBA to investigate cost of upgrading cameras at Cowles and Middleton Grange to 4K
This is due to players not registering themselves, so they do not have control of their account. Use your specific club registration form they have given to you, or the generic one here to correct this.
CBA to send regular reminders on how to score with Glory League Tablets
Adjust this in your Glory League profile
REFEREES AND FLOOR CONTROLLERS
Weekly updates to all Floor Controllers sent out which detail how issues were managed (so all can then learn from them). Floor Controllers have High-Visibility Vests to wear so they are immediately recognizable.
Entire Referee Development plan and resources publicly available
CBA to investigate logistics for this – may combine multiple clubs into one session, and require minimum number of players to attend per team.
OTHER
CBA sharing concerns with facility operators, and work with them to have these rectified. If unable, will look for suitable alternative venue.
Initially looks like these would be desired for junior teams, maybe for senior ones.
Thank you to all who have shared their ideas, comments, concerns, and praise so far – we are planning to share the results of the survey at the Club Forum later this year, which is also when we are hoping to allow you all to meet our new General Manager.
