We’re proud to have formed new bonds with Hohepa and Recreate NZ, whose participants brought incredible enthusiasm and curiosity to our activations. These connections reflect the heart of what we’re building—an inclusive basketball whānau where everyone feels seen, supported, and celebrated.

A big thank you to Parafed Canterbury, who supported our program with essential equipment, helping us make our sessions more accessible for all. We also appreciated the support from the Halberg Foundation and Canterbury Rollars, who joined us on session to share their knowledge and encouragement with our crew.

We especially want to acknowledge the amazing tamariki and rangitahi who participated in our Beginner Wheelchair Basketball program. Whether it was traveling to Nelson for a tournament or teaming up for the 3×3 Inclusion Carnival –hosted by Pioneer Basketball Club, these athletes brought courage, skill, and teamwork in every moment.

Looking ahead, we’re excited for what’s next as we prepare for the return of our Inclusion League in Terms 2 and 3. With more teams, more games, and more chances to play, we can’t wait to keep building an inclusive, fun, and empowering basketball experience for all.

If you’re keen to get involved, we’d love to hear from you!
