BNZ Kiwi Hoops and Skills Accelerator
BNZ Kiwihoops @ COWLES STADIUM
The Cowles Stadium Hoops Academy has been up and running since the stadium re-opened late in 2012, recently rebranded to BNZ Kiwihoops, and has had a tremendous increase in the demand. Because of this we’ve managed to increase the number of coaches we have available at the sessions, and can now enroll more interested children. This is a great opportunity for young basketball players to improve their skills with expert coaching in fun practice sessions. The Hoops academy is suitable for both beginners looking to learn, as well as basketballers looking to consolidate their skill level. If your child is older and wishes to develop their skills, we have our Skills accelerator program also available.
- 5 years old – 8 years old – 3:40pm – 4.25pm
- 9 years old- 13 years old- 4.30pm-5.15pm
Term Four Pricing –
5 years old to 8 years old- 1 child is $100.00, $90.00 for second or more children.
9 years old to 13 years old- 1 child is $100.00, $90.00 for second or more children.
Skills Accelerator
Our Skills Accelerator program is a new program by CBA for 2025.
This program is designed to target 13–16-year-olds who are just starting their basketball journey, or those who have only played a short time and want to level up their game to work towards a low level representative program such as Mainlands.
The program will be designed by our development lead, and is seen as a progression from Kiwi Hoops, as players are most likely entering High School.
The program will be coached by Canterbury Basketball Representative Coaches and delivered in small groups.
Eligibility Criteria
- Aged 13 to 16
- Not in a Nationals Representative team in the previous season
Sessions run for 45 minutes from 5.15-6pm
