Level 0 Referee Course: Introduction to Refereeing

We will be hosting a Level 0 Referee Course on the 16th of April 2025 at Cowles Stadium from 5:30-7:30.

The course entails two sections.

• First section will be a PowerPoint slideshow presentation looking at some of the theories of refereeing as well as a rule’s refresher. This will take place at the Cuthbert Green Sports Centre (CBA Offices Upstairs).
• Second section of the course will be an on-court session where we will look at some different scenarios on court and how we correctly position ourselves. As well as other important techniques to ensure we officiate a game safely and fairly.

This course is open to all ages and abilities of refereeing. For those new to picking up a whistle it will be great to get a better understanding of rules and how to move around the court, and for those more experienced refs it will be a great refresher before the season commences.
