Mainland trials are open for registration in conjunction with expressions of interest for aspiring coaches.
Mainland teams are for Canterbury Metro Area athletes that are not currently on a CBA Representative Team (reserves on these teams are eligible to trial) and are interested in developing their game skills and knowledge. U15 (turning 14 or 15 in 2022) and U18 (turning 16, 17 or 18 in 2022) teams will be selected in both genders.

- U15 Girls and U18 Girls 9am @ St Thomas’
- U15 Boys 11am @ St Thomas’
- U18 Boys 3pm @ St Thomas’
- 3 Practices prior to tournament (details in the programme summary)
- The Mainland Regional Tournament is being hosted at Selwyn Sport Center July 16th-18th

Coaches
Mainland Coaches get the opportunity to:
- Learn more about our Regional Style of Play
- Develop their practice planning and game management skills
- Improve their knowledge of coaching in a camp and tournament format
- Work with players who have a passion for basketball and a desire to improve
- Be supported in their development by the CBA
Ideal Commitment:
1. Reviewing the CBA Style of Play and/or Attending a style of play review on either Sunday May 29th or June 6th
2. Assisting the 2 hour Trial of you group on Sunday June 5th,
3. Running 3 practices in the build up to the tournament, and
4. Coaching your team on the 16, 17 and 18 of July.
