Our Skills Accelerator program is a new program by CBA for 2025.

This program is designed to target 13–16-year-olds who are just starting their basketball journey, or those who have only played a short time and want to level up their game to work towards a low level representative program such as Mainlands.

The program will be designed by our development lead, and is seen as a progression from Kiwi Hoops, as players are most likely entering High School.

The program will be coached by Canterbury Basketball Representative Coaches and delivered in small groups.

Eligibility Criteria

• Aged 13 to 16
• Not in a Nationals Representative team in the previous season
• This is being run in conjunction with the older BNZ Kiwihoops program.

Sessions run for 45 minutes from 4.40-5.25pm

  • 28th July
  • 4th August
  • 11th August
  • 25th August
  • 1st September
  • 8th September
  • 15th September
