All players will be selected for a 3X3, 4V4 or 5V5 programme.
Canterbury Basketball Associations’s 2025 U14 Regional Development (“rep”) Programme is open for registration.
As the programme is focused on participation and development all players registering for trials will be selected for one of three programmes:
Players must commit to participating in whichever programme the are selected if they wish to register for trials.
Because of this, all players will be charged $100 on registration – the complete fee for the 4X4 (practice Sundays for festival Saturday September 20th) or 3X3 (practice Sundays, festival Sunday September 21st) programme. Players who are selected for the 5V5 RDP to travel to Invercargill will be invoiced an additional $650 for the remaining cost of the RDP.
Please ensure you read all programme info here prior to registering, as we expect players to be able to commit to the full CBA programme and given the age of players, this maybe the first programme they are held to high standards of attendance and commitment. Registrations close August 15th.
Of even more special note is due to the rapid and still rising growth in popularity of basketball, CBA is bolting on a no cost Coach development programme in the 4V4 and 3X3 programme for those with 0 – 2 years coaching experience wanting to be trained in the basics of coaching using CBA’s Style of Coaching.
Expressions of interest are open to everyone, however year 11-13 high school basketball players wanting to learn the basics and best practices of coaching AND parents wanting to learn or develop coaching abilities will have selection preference.
Aspiring coaches can apply for free here.
