CBA Staffing Update

It is with a bit of sadness that we are wishing farewell to Nicole Gleason, who has just finished up working as a member of the CBA staff

Nicole Gleason has been a part of the CBA staff family for almost three years – where she has had a number of responsibilities (including the LU Thomson and Whelan Trophy Competitions: Hoops and Junior Competitions at Cowles; as well as Girls Got Game delivery and organisation, among other things!) Nicole even got the experience of working while quarantined in a hotel shortly after starting work for us here!

Nicole shared what made working here so special to her: It has undoubtedly been an incredible three years with CBA. I couldn’t be happier with my decision to move to New Zealand because I was introduced to some really great people……especially Lori McDaniel, who have made my time with CBA unforgettable.

“Thank you to all my junior referees and GGG players who made my days ten times more fun. And lastly, I want to give a special thanks to James, Clive, Nicky, Ben, and Richard for being a great support system & making these past years so enjoyable.”

Clive Beaumont (CBA General Manager) shared his thoughts: “Nicole was an extremely valued member of the CBA Staff team, and her bubbly personality around the office will definitely be missed, as well as her aptitude across the range of programmes she was responsible for.”

On the other side of the coin, we do have two new additions to our team, who are both taking over certain aspects of the work Nicole was responsible for (and some on top of that too!)

Clive Beaumont greeted our newest additions: “We are thrilled to welcome our newest additions to the CBA team: Ty Scott and Sam Strangman.

“Ty steps into the role of Diversity & Inclusion Development Officer, bringing a wealth of knowledge and passion to foster an inclusive environment and promote basketball for wāhine.

“Sam joins us as the Junior Events & Competitions Officer, ready to enhance our events with fresh ideas and energy. Both have now started their employment here, and are eager to hit the ground running. Please join us in giving them both a warm welcome!”
