Though not finalised yet, BBNZ, the CBA, and Xross Sports Marketing are all looking to ratify the following proposed schedule for the Southern Conference of the 3X3.EXE Tour in 2020. This is definitely still in the proposal stage at the moment, with hopes are that it can be confirmed in late January or early February 2020.

Draft Schedule For 3X3.EXE Southern Conference in 2020

  • Round 1 – Sunday 17 May, 7pm tip-off
  • Round 2 – Sunday 7 June, 7pm tip-off
  • Round 3 – Sunday 21 June, 7pm tip-off (may have a slight delay depending on the Rams’ NBL game this date)
  • Round 4 and 5 – Inter-conference round with the North Island teams. This is scheduled to be hosted here on Saturday 4 July, and Sunday 5 July. Games will be played  on both Saturday (approximately 2pm – 7pm) and Sunday (approximately 10am – 3pm), to allow the Auckland teams to fly back Sunday afternoon. With the WNBL finals on this weekend as well, there will be no games scheduled in the Miles Toyota Men’s Premier League.
  • Round 6 – Sunday 19 July, 7pm tip-off
  • Round 7 – Sunday 2 August, 7pm tip-off
  • Round 8 – Sunday 9 August, 7pm tip-off

If you are potentially wanting to be considered for a team entry in 2020, you must fill in your player registration form here, with 31 December 2019 being the advised cutoff date for entries.

With three teams out of the six Canterbury entries last season being flown to Japan to compete in the 2019 finals of the 3X3.EXE Competition, it is expected that the standard of both NZ conferences will increase with more understanding of the opportunities this competition brings.
