Kahu Trials

The Kahu Club is focused primarily on strengthening a pathway for junior players who will move on to Shirley Boys’ High, or Avonside Girls’ High.
For 2025 the Kahu club is planning to enter up to three Boys’ 13&U teams, and one Girls’ 13&U team, in CBA competitions. The boys’ competition plays on Saturday afternoons from May until August, while the girls’ play on Sunday afternoons.
2025 Kahu 13&U Trial information:
- Year Level – Player must be in Year 6 or higher in 2025
- Date of Birth – Born between 2012 and 2014 (or born in 2015, and in Year 6 at school)
- Trial Date – Sunday 6 April 2025
- Boys Trial Time – 1:30pm until 3:30pm
- Girls Trial Time – 4pm – until 5:30pm
- Pre-Registration – Trialists MUST pre-register here
- Location – Trial will be in the Shirley Boys’ and Avonside Girls’ gyms at Ōrua Paeroa

Please note, boys cannot be a regular member of both a 15&U team, and a 13&U team, in the CBA club competitions.
