Our 3×3 warm-up tournament is the ideal preparation for our High School Basketball teams
2024 has a change in the High School 3×3 Basketball Calendar, with a South Island Qualifying Tournament now being hosted in Ashburton in mid-March. To help our Canterbury schools be as prepared as possible for the three-day tournament, we are running a warm-up 3×3 tournament for 18 teams.
Seven different schools have entered teams, with Lincoln University adding a few invitational teams, to help round out the competition (12 male teams, and 6 female teams in total will compete).
Kathryn Jelas (BBNZ Tournaments Lead) is excited about the Canterbury March 2 Tournament too:
“This will be a great event for schools to run through the 3×3 rules as a reminder, and to experience some games before coming to Regionals. We can’t wait to see how schools go at this event!”
