We are now recruiting people to be a part of the Basketball Statisticians Crew
Now is your chance to join the elite few who are known as the NBL Statisticians! We are on the look out for someone to join our team in covering the Canterbury Rams‘ home games this season, as well as opportunities with other competitions and teams including the Canterbury Wildcats.
The PERFECT stats person will have the following traits:
In return for your services you get to hang out on the stats bench with an extremely close-up view of the game. Stats are now a critical part of the game with player’s careers largely dependent on having accurate stats and we are also accountable to the TAB to get things right.
Stats is not for everyone. You have to be able to focus on the game with an objective viewpoint – no cheering/applauding your team!
So if you think you have what it takes please contact our Head Basketball Statistician – Sharon Erwood. We are only a few weeks away from the start of the season and need to have a full complement of personnel for the first home game on 27 April. Stats can be really rewarding (not in the monetary sense) and it is an opportunity to be involved in the game at an elite level.
