We are down to the wire in our Premier High School competitions.
The semi-finals are tipping off tonight!
Our first semi-finals to tip off are in the NZCT Grocott Trophy competition.
First place Hillmorton take on Kaiapoi who caused an upset for Shirley Boys in the quarters last week. Hillmorton are 9-0 from the regular season, against Kaiapoi who are 4-5.
This game tips off at 4.15pm at Hillmorton High School.
Next up we have our second Grocott semi.
Second place Cashmere, who’s only loss in regular season was to Hillmorton take on St Bede’s who are not far behind on 7-2 from regular season.
This game tips off at 4.15pm at Cashmere High School.

Now onto the Lincoln University Whelan Trophy Semi Finals.
Our southernmost team Ashburton have earnt hosting rights as regular season winners and going 9-0. Ashburton take on Rangi Ruru after they beat Burnside in their semi-final.
This game tips off at 5.45pm at 52 Oxford Street, Ashburton.
Next in the Division Two Whelan competition, we have Hagley College host Hillmorton High. Both teams are on a 7-2 record in the regular season.
This game is being play at Hagley College, tipping off at 5.45pm.

The Division One ladies also get into semi-finals after a week off last week.
Our first semi-final is reigning champs St Andrew’s taking on Rangiora. Rangiora managed to take a win against Kaiapoi last week in a friendly and have nothing to lose. I think this could be closer than expected.
If you want to watch this showdown, 5.45pm at St Andrew’s is the place to be.
Then we have Kaiapoi taking on Christchurch Girls High. This again is going to be a very close game with both on a 7-3 regular season record.
The action for this matchup is taking place at Kaiapoi High School at 5.45pm.
Cashmere just slipped in at 5th place, while St Margarets take 6th.
Our Lincoln University Thomson Trophy Division Two matchups also have Hagley feature.
Hagley as first place is hosting Papanui who were both in the top four following the division split. Hagley sits with a 10-0 record against Papanui’s 6-4.
This game follows the Whelan semi-final and tips off at 7.30pm also at Hagley College.
Our other semi-final is a little further south at Lincoln. Lincoln are taking on the team from just down the road, Hornby. Very similar win rates in the season with Lincoln’s 6-4 against Hornby’s 5-5.
This game is 7.30pm at Lincoln High School.

And last the Lincoln University Thomson Trophy Division One matchups.
Unbeaten Christs College takes on St Andrew’s after they caused upset beating Cashmere last week. With a great game by St Andrew’s last week, this game could be close.
To watch this game head to Christ’ College in their new gym for a 7.30pm start.
And the other game promises to prove exciting. Rangiora host St Bede’s in what promises to be a highly contested game.

Our division two grad finals will be played at Cowles Stadium on Monday 26th August. Whelan will tip off at 5.30pm, and Thomson at 7.30pm All Star singlets will be presented between the two games.
Grocott Trophy and Division One finals will be played at Cowles Stadium on Tuesday 27th August. Grocott will tip off at 3.45pm, Whelan at 5.30pm and Thomson at 7.30pm. All Star singlets will be presented between the Whelan and Thomson Games.
Both evenings are free entry.
