Christ’s New Gym – this opened up for the Thomson Trophy team last night, and by all accounts was a fantastic new addition to the school. We’re very lucky to be able to use the gym for some weekend club games too. Please note, we have renamed the courts in the gym that we will use to #2 (Riverside) and #3 (Garden Side) respectively. Also note, there is not parking in the school grounds, so please give yourself a bit of time to arrive and walk in the main entrance, past the field and classrooms to the new gym (or potentially park in the Botanic Garden’s carpark). Referees – Most of you are already aware that we have a number of referees that BBNZ has appointed to the UTSNZ 3×3 Championship this weekend. This means we know this week is going to be a relatively tough one for Richard to fill with trained referees. Please encourage people in your teams who can help to contact richard@canterbury.basketball
Boys’ 17U – Its looking highly likely we won’t be able to replace the team that has withdrawn. This will mean we need to redo the draws to remove the “Pioneer White” game. We will communicate directly with the affected teams, and this page will have the updated draw
Scorebench Duty – Reports from our floor controller showed that the majority of teams were aware of the changed responsibilities, and most B15/G16 through to M20 teams had their person attached to each team ready to do duty as well (and people did like only having to supply two for duty instead of four when scheduled!)
XCM 13 and Under Grades – our youngest weekend club ballers tip this weekend, meaning every one of our winter club grades will be under way!
Plays of the Week – if something worthy of consideration for the plays of the week happens in your game (and is videoed, either on Glory league, or if you have the video file) please send them in to james@canterbury.basketball to see if the play is makes it in the next weekly video!
