Weekend Draw Info 28-29 June

This information has been sent out to all our weekend club basketball contacts this week, ahead of round iwa

28-29 June Draw 2025

5 July Draw 2025

12-13 July Draw 2025

19-20 July Draw 2025

Notes for this Week:

  • July 12 – we will have an updated draw for this date out early next week. There is only looking like there will be minimal changes from the original draw, due to nearly all teams on the draw happy to play
  • July 20 – this is the NBL Grand Final date, so we will adjust this draw if the Rams get to host this game again
  • Bishopdale Entry From 12:30 – we are back in the Bishopdale Rec Centre after a one-week hiatus. Our booking starts at 12:30pm on Saturdays, so if your team wishes to shoot around earlier, they need to enquire with reception there, and book (and pay for) the space if any is available
  • Scorebench Explainer – we have three systems of scorebench duty – all require a “bench referee” be provided if requested by the Floor Controller. The following notation is used on the duty draws
    • “OWN DUTY” – each team provides two people for scorebench (13U grades)
    • “2” (2+1+1) – duty team provides two, and the team teams playing provide one each (15, 16 and 17U grades)
    • “4” – duty team provides four people for duty (20U and above)

  • Formats Amended – we have updated the Formats Document to reflect the addition of an empty week to the French Cup competition, and removed the erroneous mention of sub-grade finals in the 13U grades
  • Scorebench Discrepancies – if your team becomes aware of a discrepancy, please follow our procedure to get this queried
  • Playoff Eligibility – remember players need to have appeared in enough games to gain eligibility for the playoffs. The following competitions can still have players added, and gain eligibility if they play every regular season game from (assuming no byes):
    • Men’s and Women’s Premier – final rosters due by 9 July (12 and 19 July are the latest a new player could take the court from, and be able to become playoff eligible)
    • Men’s 23 – 19 July
    • Men’s 20 Division One – 12 July
    • Men’s 20 Division Two – 19 July
    • Boys’ 13 – 28 June
    • Women’s Division One – 29 June
    • Girls’ 16 – 29 June

We have a break coming up for all grades except our Premier ones, but there is plenty of basketball still happening, with the Footlocker U18 Nationals at Cowles and Shirley/Avonside High Schools from 30 June – 3 July this week, and the Mainlands Tournament at the Selwyn Sports Centre 5-7 July. There will be more info about these on our website soon.
