Welcome Scott Kitto

The Canterbury Basketball Association is excited to welcome Scott Kitto as our new Referee and Junior Programmes Development Officer!

Scott joins us after having graduated from the University of Canterbury where he attained a Bachelor of Sport Coaching, Performance Analysis and Leadership & Management

Scott brings the necessary skills and experience in basketball coaching and development to the role. Many of you will know him in the basketball community as he has continued to coach and foster his skills over the last three years by coaching at UC. He has passion for fostering young referees and growing the game which makes him a perfect fit for this role.

In this position, Scott will lead the development of CBA’s Junior Programmes, be instrumental in overseeing our junior referee pathway and support referee education and mentorship. In addition to this he will be sharing responsibility for appointing referees (particularly our junior referees) to the weekend competitions. His leadership will help ensure that young referees and players receive the guidance, training, and support needed to thrive within the Canterbury Basketball community.
