EOIs for 2025 coaching roles are open until November 21st.

Expressions of Interest (EOI) for those wanting to coach in Canterbury Basketball Association’s 2025 representative and development programmes are open.

All those wanting to be considered for head, assistant or apprentice roles should apply through this form.

Significant changes to the 2025 programmes include:

  1. Expansion of the U16 and U19 Mainlands programme to include programming in March post rep trials. This means coaches in mainlands will play a more significant role at rep trials and programming.
  2. Only 2 boys and 2 girls teams traveling to the U14 Regional Tournament in October due to tournament being moved from Ashburton to Invercargill.

We highly encourage all coaches, regardless of experience to coach as we have coach development programmes designed to support coaches in their develop throughout their journey.

Please note that opportunities for coaches to train and develop in reimbursed roles have been created in the:

  • the rep-readiness camp January 22nd, 23rd, 24th 2025, and
  • the Signature League in term 1 2025.

These roles support assistant coaches and apprentice coaches in funding their tournament costs.
