The CBA have now appointed their new General Manager – read on to hear a little about him
Canterbury Basketball is excited to announce the appointment of Clive Beaumont as our new General Manager. In addition to this, we are also delighted to appoint Clive as the General Manager of the Alloyfold Canterbury Wildcats, our Women’s National Basketball League team.
In announcing the appointments Canterbury Basketball Board Chair, Barry Dent, welcomed Clive to the team and noted the appointment comes at the end of a thorough process.
Clive comes to us with a strong skill set after his nine years running Nelson Football and has previous experience running a very successful legal practice.
“I am delighted that a candidate with Clive’s all round credentials was available for the position. We are certain that Clive’s enthusiasm, motivation and life experience will ensure active engagement with a diverse range of stakeholders and the basketball community. His personable and outgoing nature will complement those skills.” Dent said.
Clive will officially commence with the Canterbury Basketball Association on 16 December 2019. Clive replaces Paul Duggan who resigned after five years at the helm. During Clive’s handover with Stephen Bain, a date for the CBA Club Forum will be finalised, with the idea being that our stakeholders in each club will have a chance to meet Clive in person.
