Introducing 2degrees GGG Summer League
CBA are excited to announce the introduction of our GGG Summer League.
This league is targeting U14 girls coming off the back of their local primary competitions and looking to explore basketball further before taking up club competition.
Players will register individually (register here) and be placed into teams for the competition. Teams will be made up of eight players to enable plenty of on court development for our girls.
The games will provide a step towards full length games by playing 8-minute running clock quarters. The clock will stop in the last minute of each quarter if the game is within ten points, as well as for free throws and substitutions. Fouls will be recorded to the bench, along with a shot clock used to help introduce more aspects of a FIBA style game.
This competition is a short and sharp way for girls to experience club basketball in the off season without taking up their summer. The league will run for five weeks.
Reversible Singlets will be loaned out each night for players, to enable them to feel part of the team while being comfortable in their own shorts/ leggings.
When: Thursdays starting 15th October with games either 4.30 or 5.30pm
Where: Parakiore Sport and Recreation Centre
Cost: $50 per player for the five week league.
