Kahu Basketball has been set up as the junior arm of the successful Atami club, and has trials for 13&U Teams to play in the CBA competitions coming up

The Kahu Club is focused primarily on strengthening a pathway for junior players who will move on to Shirley Boys’ High, or Avonside Girls’ High.

For 2026 the Kahu club is planning to enter up to three Boys’ 13&U teams, and one Girls’ 13&U team, in CBA competitions. Both competitions play on Saturday afternoons from May until August.

Year Level – Player must be in Year 6 or higher in 2026
Date of Birth – Born between 2013 and 2015 (or born in 2016, and in Year 6 at school)
Trial Date – Sunda29 March 2026
Boys Trial Time – 1pm until 3pm
Girls Trial Time – 3:30pm – until 5pm
Pre-Registration – Trialists MUST pre-register here
Location – Trial will be in the Shirley Boys’ and Avonside Girls’ gyms at Ōrua Paeroa
