We have a Practical Workshop coming up for those referees who have completed the online components

Level 1 Practical Workshop for Referees

Registrations are open for referees to attend the BBNZ Level 1 practical referees’ workshop. This is an opportunity to upskill your refereeing and also to seek advancement along our Referee Development Pathway.

Referee trainer John Bartlett will deliver the course:

Wednesday, June 26th,
6:00pm to 8:00pm
Cowles Stadium

To receive a Level One Referee certification, referees must complete three steps including this practical workshop:

Complete the online learning component via SportTutor (estimated time around 3 hours or so)
Register for and complete a Level 1 practical workshop (ideally, please complete the online component first), and
Have an in-game assessment by a certified referee trainer. (Once you have done the first two steps, you can set a time to be assessed, by filling in this form and we will arrange a referee trainer to assess you to sign you off.)

We encourage those on the Rep Raise Programme for Referees to be a part of this, but this course is an important step for all who want to advance along the referee development pathway in Canterbury.
