With just three weeks left in term two, focus is shifting to wins.
We have now reached halfway in the Thomson division one top 8 and bottom 8 split.
Christ’s College and St Bede’s currently sit top unbeaten, while Hillmorton and St Andrew’s are just behind with both team’s only losses to Christ’s so far. Cashmere and St Thomas lead the bottom half of the table with Shirley and Kaiapoi sharing the wooden spoon currently.
This week’s match ups
🏀Cashmere vs Kaiapoi- Kaiapoi are still fighting to prove they belong in the top 8. Can this game help their case?
🏀Shirley vs St Andrew’s- A big match up for Shirley. Can they use momentum from almost beating St Bede’s last week to secure a crucial win this week?
🏀St Bede’s vs Hillmorton- A heavy weight clash as Hillmorton look to take second spot with a win over St Bede’s
🏆St Thomas vs Christ’s- After almost handing StAC the trophy last week, can Christ’s hold on to it to beat St Thomas?

🏀Burnside vs Middleton- After a massive win last week over Rolleston, MG will be looking to carry on their momentum.
🏀CBHS vs Rolleston- Another big match up in the bottom 8 space. CBHS need to replicate what Middleton did last week.
🏀Lincoln vs Ashburton- A southern match up with two teams looking very even.
🏀Rangiora vs Riccarton- Rangiora will be looking to keep fighting for a spot in the division one quarter finals next term.

Thomson Division Two
The division two space is starting to find its spaces on the ladder. With Cathedral and Papanui looking strong contenders for the final.
🏀Papanui vs Cathedral- Our two big hitters face off this week.
🏀RNLS vs Te Aratai- Two teams enjoying the experience and looking to get vital game experience pre tournament.
🏀Hornby vs Oxford- Hornby is right on the heels of the top two, so they are after every point they can pre playoffs.

Whelan Division One
Our Whelan ladder is also taking with majority of games played.
🏀Cashmere vs St Margaret’s- St Margs have dropped a bit since week one, can they recover to beat Cashmere this week?
🏆CGHS vs Rangiora- A new current holder for the trophy gives CGHS a second chance to claim it this season.
🏀Marian vs Hillmorton- Hillmorton will be looking to regain composure after a tough loss to StAC last week.
🏀Avonside vs Kaiapoi- Avonside have started to find their rhythm again. Can they carry it on when they meet their northern neighbours?
🏀St Andrew’s vs Villa- This game will be a good chance for some of the oyung StAC players to get valuable minutes.

Whelan Division Two have a scheduled week off this week.
Grocott Division One
The ladder is tight in this one. With it unclear who is guaranteed top spot.

The division two contest is also shaping up to be quite tight. With plenty of varying results.
