Noise Makers – as we enter the final few games of the season, a reminder that artificial noise-makers (in particular, air-horns) aren’t allowed – there are some other venue rules we utilise as well, but that is the main one which may be a change for some people. Please make sure your team’s supporters are aware of these rules
Final Game date for Saturday Teams – below is when Saturday teams will wrap up their season in each competition (unless in the Grade’s Grand Final on August 22):
Men’s Premier – Gators, Pioneer, and the lowest seeded QF Loser finish their season on August 8. Semi-Final Losers finish on August 15
Women’s Premier – Atami, Halswell, and the lowest seeded QF loser finish their season on August 8. Semi-Final Losers finish on August 15
French Cup – Loser of UC/LU finish on August 8. All other teams will finish on August 15 (unless in GF)
Men’s 23 – All teams finish on August 8, except SF, and QF Winners (Wolverines and Gators Green), who will play on August 15
Men’s 20 Division One – All teams finish on August 8, except the four teams that qualify for the Semi-Finals
Men’s 20 Division Two – All teams finish on August 8, except for QF Winners, and #13 (STC Blue) who will play the loser of Pioneer Yellow/Checkers Black on August 15 (and finish their season that date)
XCM Boys’ 17 A – All teams will finish their season on August 15 (unless in GF)
XCM Boys’ 17 Sub-grade – All teams finish August 15, except for CBHS Blue (Who will have the bye on August 15, so will finish their season on August 8)
Dynasty Girls’ 16 – All teams finish on August 15 (unless in GF)
Dynasty Boys’ 15 A – All teams finish on August 15 (unless in GF)
Dynasty Boys’ 15 Sub-grade – All teams finish August 15, except for Rolleston Blue (Who will have the bye on August 15, so will finish their season on August 8)
XCM Boys’ 13 – All teams finish August 15 (unless in GF), except for Pioneer Yellow (Who will have the bye on August 15, so will finish their season on August 8)
XCM Girls’ 13 – All teams finish August 15 (unless in GF)
Sub-grade Playoffs – A congratulations to the four teams selected for the Sub Grade Playoff Games this Saturday (their finals will be on the 15th of August:
Boys’ 17U – Christ’s Black vs STC Blue (9:30am); Hawks B Red vs STC Red (11:10am) – Parakiore 6
Boys’ 15U – Christ’s Black vs Pioneer Blue (12:50pm); STC Blue vs STC Black (2:30pm) – Bishopdale 1
Grand Finals Weekend – August 22 is when we’ll have all eleven of our A grade Saturday grades conclude their season, while August 23 is when Men’s and Women’s Division One Finals are on. Both days will be run in their entirety at Cowles Stadium, with our First Team, and Championship Winners receiving custom designed medals this season
Sunday 9 August Draw – Sam will communicate this directly with Sunday teams, as I know there have been some alterations to what is published on our website, and I don’t want to give teams/clubs conflicting information. If you are not 100% sure of when your team plays (and duty responsibilities), please email sam@canterbury.basketball to get it clarified
