Weekend Draw Info 22-30 April

This information has been sent out to all our club basketball contacts this week, ahead of weekend tahi

22-30 April Duty Draw

Notes that were included with this draw email:

  • U13 grades start on May 6/7 (and only Premier, U23 and U17A starts on April 22, everything else begins on April 29/30)
  • Emails – We have kept some emails attached to teams from 2022 until we get advised from clubs as to who is coaching
  • Duty – U15 and U16 duty will normally provide two people before or after their game. We have noted when a team needs to provide four people instead though (this will usually happen to the middle game in a “block” of three games)
  • Formats – we have just finished off the draft of competition formats for all grades (except Sub-grades, which do not conclude with any playoffs or finals). Piet Van Hasselt has already been involved in this, with the Competitions Committee to approve it becoming final
  • Confirmed Entries – there are a few teams that are still not 100% confirmed, so there is a chance we have to adjust the draw and formats if there are any changes from what has been communicated to us (UPDATE – we do have a WD1 Change, and are working through a revised format here)
  • Venues in use the first two weekends:
    • Cowles 1 and 2 (Cowles Stadium)
    • Middleton Old/New (School Gyms at Middleton)
    • OP (Ōrua Paeroa – Shirley Boys’s and Avonside School Gyms)
    • Selwyn – Selwyn Sports Centre
    • St. Thomas 1 and 2 (St. Thomas of Canterbury College Gym)
