Canterbury Basketball is running the following programmes and events in March 2025

We’re now starting to see pre-season programmes tipping-off for the 2025 season. You can easily click on any of the links below to find out more, or you can see everything in one place on our Events Calendar.

Cowles Miniball – Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays
Club Trials – Selwyn, Atami, Gators, and Pioneer have advertised which club trials they are running in March, with more clubs set to announce their trials soon

BNZ Kiwi Hoops at Cowles – Mondays still accepting registrations
Skills Accelerator Program – Mondays still accepting registrations

Signature League – Term One is running Tuesday evenings for U16, U18, and U20s at Cowles and Shiley / Avonside. Reg is closed but if interested the next iteration will be term 4.
Rep and Mainlands – trials for U16, U18, U19 and U20and programmes conclude on Sunday 2 March, with practices beginning afterwards
Mainland Blitz – The inaugural Mainland Blitz Tournament will take place March 29th at MainPower Stadium for all U16 and U18 (except U18 A) Canterbury Rep teams

Signature League – also has a heavy development focus for coaches, with coach developers in attendance and development programmes in place for all coaches.
The Coach Connection Forum – will be running Thursday evenings for all coaches of any level looking to connect and learn.
BBNZ will be delivering a foundations of mentoring and developing module Thursday March 6th through the CCF. All coaches are highly encouraged to register!

Junior Referee Development (JRD)– For young referees looking to take their skills to the next level Tuesday 530-730pm at Cowles.
Referee Accelerator Program (RAP)– For players wanting a fast track to refereeing club basketball Tuesday 6pm-830pm at Shirley Avonside.
