Canterbury Basketball is running the following programmes and events in November 2025

We’re now finished with our Winter Club Season, but there are still plenty of things happening! You can easily click on any of the links below to find out more, or you can see everything in one place on our Events Calendar.

Term 4 Cowles Miniball – Year 3 and 4 Miniball in full swing at Cowles stadium on Tuesday, Wedensday and Thursday afternoons. If your school is local to Cowles, and would like to enter in this Y3/4 competition in the future please reach out to scott@canterbury.basketball
BBNZ Junior 3×3 Southern Championship – we are hosting this tournament for Y9/10 students at the Selwyn Sports Centre on November 20-21

BNZ Kiwi Hoops at Cowles – Mondays Hoops 3:40-4:25 5–8-Year-olds, 4.30-5.15pm 9–13-year-olds
Skills Accelerator Program– 5.15-6.00pm Skills 13-16 years
Midnight Basketball – Cowles Stadium will have this FREE programme for teenagers operating on November 7, 14; and December 5, 12

Open to coaches of all age and stage, the Coach Connection Forum is running Thursday evenings to give coaches an opportunity to grow and connect. All info including registration link here: https://canterbury.basketball/ccf2025
The Game On Point Ready activation (warm up)
- All clubs and most schools have a designated leader who has been trained in the new warmup, however video and written materials on the programme can be found here.
- Video content will also be loaded onto CoachMate
- With the addition of Game Ready programme and other new content, the CoachMate app continue to go from strength to strength. If you haven’t downloaded it yet, DOWNLOAD IT NOW!

Deaf Nationals – are being hosted at Cowles Stadium on November 14-16

Junior Referee Development (JRD) running in conjunction with Signature League. If you are wanting to gain development in the refereeing space to gain the ability to referee at club basketball reach out to scott@canterbury.basketball
