Now that the season is underway, we need to make sure everyone understands our Zero Tolerance Policy for Referee Interactions
In addition to this policy, referees who have a green whistle, or green lanyard, are not to be questioned (by players, coaches, managers, spectators) as they are a novice referee.
Everyone involved in a 13U, 15U or 16U team needs to understand:
People can be disqualified from the game in question, and required to leave the court area for failing to adhere to any part of this policy.

Why Is This Policy There?
Basketball is by far the fastest growing sport in our region and our country.
The number of club teams in CBA competitions doubled from 100 to over 200 since 2016, we are the largest high school sport by participation numbers and this growth shows no sign of slowing.
In order to continue to provide a quality competition for our community, we need players, coaches, parents, referees and all people in our community to be ON TEAM REFEREE. Referees are the life blood of our game and we will create an environment for them to enjoy the game, not just for players, coaches and supporters.
As a result, CBA, in partnership with our clubs are making it public that first and foremost, we are #TeamRef. We are implementing a zero-tolerance policy as we are primarily focused on protecting referees at younger levels.
This is a Zero Tolerance Policy, and the full policy can be read here.
