The Checkers Basketball Club is based in the North-Western area of Christchurch, with their 2025 Club Trials coming up soon

Checkers Trials are taking place throughout March 2025 for a range of male and female teams (with their Women’s Premier team being the back-to-back-to-back defending Champions going into the season)

  • Women’s Premier and French Cup: Monday 17 March, 7.30-9pm Marian College
  • Men’s Premier and 23U:  Monday 17 March, 6-7.30pm Marian College
  • Men’s 20U: Thursday 20 March, 8-9.30pm Bishopdale Recreation Centre (Court 1)
  • Girls’ 16U: Thurs 20 March, 6-7.30pm Mairehau High School
  • Girls’ 13U: Wed 26 March, 6-7.30pm Westburn School

 

Checkers are also hosting a Junior Girls Pre-season Skills Session (second of two) on Wednesday night 6-7.30pm at Westburn School for girls interested in playing 13Us or 16Us either for their school or club basketball season.
