For anyone interested in Coaching in our 2027 Rep and Development Programmes

Expressions of Interest (EOI) for those wanting to coach in Canterbury Basketball Association’s 2027 representative and development programmes are open.

There are positions available for all age and stage of coaching, from Apprentice Coaching an U16 Mainlands Development team, to Head Coaching and U20 Rep A team to compete at Nationals.

All those wanting to be considered for head, assistant or apprentice roles must apply through this form.

All coaches must be familiar with or willing to learn our Style of Play (SOP) and Style of Coaching (SOC).

Significant changes to the 2027 programmes include:

  1. Addition of the U16 Development Programme that will allow 60 additional players on-top of our mainlands and Rep teams to participate in the U16 programme,
  2. Mainland Blitz tournament now being run at Parakiore for both the mainland and rep buildups, and
  3. The exciting continued partnership with Transforming Basketball, giving all CBA coaches membership access to their courses.

We’d also encourage all coaches interested to also attend the Coach Connection Forum.

We highly encourage all coaches, regardless of experience, to express interest as we have coach development programmes designed to support coaches at all stages of their coaching journey.

To register your EOI, fill in this form. Yes, you may apply for multiple roles.

Applications close November 1st.

Please note that opportunities for coaches to train and develop in reimbursed roles have been created in the:
