SIGNATURE LEAGUE – TERM 4 2026

Individual registrations here!

Following an excellent 2026 season, our high-pressure development league returns for the off-season; Term 4 2026.

The league will retain its unique overtime segment structure, alongside a practice block when teams have a “bye” to work on core skills and concepts within CBA’s Style of Play (SOP). This practice will occur during the middle 30-minute segment for each team.

The five-week evening league will run on Tuesdays at Parakiore on:

  • Tuesday November 3rd
  • Tuesday November 10th
  • Tuesday November 24th
  • Tuesday December 1st
  • Tuesday December 8th

Please note: There will be NO Signature League on Tuesday November 17th due to an event clash at Parakiore.

Signature League is designed for players who have played in the Rep/Mainlands programme or who have aspirations to do so.

Please note:

  • Places are limited and registrations are first come, first served.
  • Ages are based on the 2027 representative season:
    • U16: 2012 and 2013
    • U18: 2010 and 2011
    • U20: 2008 and 2009

Parakiore

U16 Boys – 4.30–6.00pm

U16 / U18 / U20 Girls – 4.30–6.00pm

U18 / U20 Boys – 6.30–8.00pm

Please note, we may slightly alter times depending on registration numbers, and some players may be asked to play up a grade where this is considered best for their development.

Programme Cost: $100 for the 5 week programme.

Game Structure

Games will use the Signature League structure of:

  • Four x 5-minute overtime stop-clock periods and two x 15-minute training blocks.
  • Scores reset at the end of each period.
  • 2 league points per period won, 1 per draw and 0 for a loss.
  • All teams will have a 30-minute “War Room” session as part of each evening.

Players will individually register into the Boys or Girls U16, U18 and U20 divisions based on their age for the 2027 representative season.

Coaches will then draft all registered players into even-strength teams of approximately 7–8 players.

Players must wear the standard Signature / Rep Programme reversible. Players from a non-CBA association should bring their association reversible or a suitable light/dark playing top.

A reversible can be purchased during registration; however, please do not re-purchase one if you already have one, as stocks are limited.

Players can register here where they can order the reversible.

Coaches will be selected from the pool of Rep and Mainlands programme coaches who are actively developing through the CBA coach development pathway. Coaches wishing to join the coach development pathway can apply here. They will be supported throughout the league by CBA Coach Developers.

Any questions, contact Ben@canterbury.basketball.

Referees will be selected from CBA’s engaged and committed pool of community referees.
