Our Macca’s Whelan Trophy Competition now has the top four set in Division I
Rangi Ruru, Christchurch Girls’ Kaiapoi and St. Andrew’s will be battling it out over three weeks before they all progress to the semi-final round in the #MaccasWT Competition.
In the Macca’s Thomson Trophy competition Cashmere has locked up the top seed, with Middleton and Shirley Boys’ safely through to the playoffs. Christchurch Boys’, Rangiora, Christ’s and St. Andrew’s are all tied on 4-4 with one of those teams missing out on a chance at the trophy. Christchurch Boys’ won their deferred game against St. Bede’s 107-84 on Thursday 27 July, in a game they knew they had to win to keep their post-season hopes alive.
All week nine games are scheduled for Tuesday 31 July, unless otherwise noted, and our picks are underlined.
