Paul Duggan – Resigning as CEO

Public Statement from the Canterbury Basketball Association Board

The Chief Executive of Canterbury Basketball, Paul Duggan, has tendered his resignation and will complete his employment with the organisation in mid-August 2019.

The Board of the Canterbury Basketball Association sincerely thanks Paul for his services to basketball in Canterbury over the past five years. Paul feels now is the right time for him to move on to new challenges and we wish him well in his future endeavours.

Under Paul’s oversight the CBA staff has increased in number and capacity, the association finances have improved, new initiatives established and the number of basketball activities undertaken has increased. During his tenure basketball across Canterbury has enjoyed an increase in playing numbers as never before.

After five years Paul leaves Canterbury Basketball in better shape than when he found it and for that the basketball community is indebted to him. We wish him all the best.

Paul would like to thank the members of the basketball community and other stake holders for their support over this time.

A search for his replacement will begin immediately.
