2026 CBA Winter Club Finals Saturday Draw

2026 CBA Winter Club Finals Sunday Draw

We’re now down to the last 13 games of the CBA Winter Club Competition – congratulations to the teams that have qualified to play at Cowles Stadium this weekend, and to the players and members of our community that will be recognised.

Notes:

  • B15 and B17 Sub-Grade Champions – We wrapped up these competitions last Saturday, with the St. Thomas Blue teams winning each of the Grand Finals – and receiving our first Saturday medals!
  • Own Duty – Teams in Saturday finals need to provide two people each for scorebench (own duty), Sam will advise if Sunday teams are also following the same format for duty too

  • Medals – This year we have had medals produced to recognise our winners – both those named in the First Team for their respective grade (we will stop both courts at about half-time to announce/recognise them in person, but you can see all of the winners on our Instagram or Facebook pages), and for the team that wins the Grand Final (at the end of their game). We don’t have backpacks for First Team Winners this year
  • Noise Makers – a final reminder that artificial noise-makers (in particular, air-horns) aren’t allowed at our games – there are some other venue rules we utilise as well, but that is the main one which may be a change for some people. Please make sure your team’s supporters are aware of this (the full list of rules can be seen above, or by clicking here)
  • Bring Your Team to the Mainland Pouākai Season – Be in to win 20x season memberships with the Mainland Pouākai professional women’s basketball team! They’re looking to adopt a team to their whānau for the 2026 season (and want them to fill the stands with you and your teammates for every single home game!) “Whether you’re part of a school team, club team or social team, this is your chance to experience Pouākai basketball together. Entries are limited to one per person, so make sure your teammates, friends and whānau enter too. The more entries your team gets, the higher your chances! https://pouakai.basketball/pouakai-adopt-a-team/September 26 is when the Pouākai take flight in their first home game (against the Hoiho), with tickets available to be purchased now

Finally, we would like to say thank you to everyone who has helped get a team on the court (and/or play for a team!) We love being able to help get as many people as possible playing basketball for the schools and clubs, but it is really all of you (coaches, managers, admins etc) that are a much bigger reason we have so many people playing each week of the season.
