Term Four Rep Readiness Programs

The CBA is excited to announce two new Term 4 programs to assist our U15 and U17 athletes in the preparation for 2022 Representative Basketball Trials.

We are beyond fortunate to have the services of Mel and Mick Downer in both of these programs.

Program One: Regional Rep Readiness Program (RRR)

The Regional Rep Readiness Program is a collaborative initiative delivered by North Canterbury, Mid Canterbury, and Canterbury Basketball. This will replace the WPP in term 4 and is aimed at 2008-2005 athletes looking to trial for their respective U15 and U17 rep teams in 2022

Under the guidance of Mel and Mick Downer, you will be developing the following pillars for your game:

  • First Class Footwork
  • Playing with Space
  • Playmaking
  • Player-Lead Behaviours

In order to allow athletes, coaches, and parents to enjoy the summer months and align with Balance is Better, this program will be run over the course of three Sundays.

  • You can register and attend 1, 2 or 3 sessions. (Nov 21st,  Dec 5th, Dec 19th)
  • Each session is $35 and payment must be made prior to the first session
  • An at home summer work out will be provided with registration
  • Form more information on session times, dates, and venues please click on the RRR registration link here

Program Two: U15 Rep Readiness Skill Sessions (RRSS)

U15 Weekly Rep Readiness Skill Sessions (this program can be done in conjunction with the RRR)

  • These 75 min sessions will help 2008 and 2007 born CBA athletes prepare themselves for the 2022 Rep trials.
