26 August Senior Finals Day Draw

We have now wrapped up the season for our junior weekend grades, in what was an outstanding display of basketball on Saturday. This Saturday we get to do the same for our senior grades

  • THANK YOU – Manaia Ariki Wharepapa (NZ U17 Men); Aidan Tonge (Canterbury Rams/NZ 3×3 Tall Blacks); Cathy Hyland (Life Member); Sandra French (CBA Patron); and Darrel Flynn-Thompson (CBA Life Member, BBNZ 50 years of service award) all gave up some of their time on Saturday to help present First Team Award Winners, and Grade Champions
  • PHOTOS – All the photos from Saturday are now on our facebook page

  • OWN DUTY – each team playing this Saturday is to provide two capable people to do scorebench on their own game (i.e. non-players). Referees are all appointed and confirmed, so this is strictly for bench duty that people are needed
  • FIRST TEAM PRESENTATIONS – these will be at half time of each of the following games. We will present the five members as quickly as possible, and then start the three-minute period for half-time once the presentation has concluded:
    • Men’s U23A (approximately 9:50am) Cowles 1
    • Men’s Division I (approximately 11:25am) Cowles 2
    • Women’s Premier (approximately 11:35am) Cowles 1
    • Women’s Division I (approximately 1:20pm) Cowles 1
    • French Cup (approximately 2:55pm) Cowles 2
    • Men’s U20A (approximately 3:05pm) Cowles 1
    • Men’s Premier (approximately 4:50pm) Cowles1
  • END OF GAME PRESENTATION – The winning team will be presented with the trophy. Teams can hang on to this if they wish, but please let me know, as I normally take them all back once photos are done to be able to get them engraved. Finals MVP will also be announced at this time too
  • MAJOR AWARD WINNERS – These will be presented before the Premier Men’s Game (approximately 4:00pm)
  • LIVE-STREAMING – at this stage we are not live streaming any of the games, but we will advise if this is going to change
