Updated 2021 Mainland Draw and Formats

With Road Closures affecting teams from being able to attend the Mainland Tournament, we’ve had to adjust our draw quite significantly

Buller’s three teams, and Nelson’s one team have been affected by road closures, meaning we have had to make some drastic changes to the draw for the 2021 Mainland Tournament.

Formats for each grade:

  • U15 Boys – Two Pools of five teams each playing a Round Robin, with a final placing game (First AB vs First CD, Second AB vs Second CD etc)
  • U15 Girls – Four team Round Robin; then Semi Finals (1 vs 4, 2 vs 3); Final and third place game
  • U18 Boys – Six Team Round Robin (winner determined according to FIBA tiebreakers)
  • U18 Girls – Two game series, and then Challenge games vs U15 Boys

Nelson have made it through the pass, so these games have been included in the schedule:

  • Monday 10:35am vs West Coast (Court Four)
  • Monday 3:20pm vs Canterbury White (Court One)
  • Tuesday 10:35am vs Mid Canterbury (Court Three)
  • Tuesday 4:55pm vs any team (slotted appropriately from a 1:45pm game)
