Pizza Republic – They are the naming right’s sponsor for our junior grades, for which we’ve received vouchers (BU15, BU17 and GU16). These will be distributed as soon as we can. Each team will get a $15 voucher, per week, for their team. BU13 and GU13 grades have been provided player of the day certificates, which include a voucher for a kid’s meal. (I had the Oishi Chicken Pizza today, and highly recommend it!)
Mouthguards – remember all players in U20 competitions and below need mouthguards as per BBNZ/ACC rules. We have a limited supply available for purchase at Cowles Stadium
Formats – These are under consideration by the competitions committee now – but wanted you all to have them now. I do have to tidy up some formatting, and will advise you of any changes to the actual structure of them once approved. The BU15, BU17 and MU20 formats in particular may need changing if I do need to adjust where teams are slotted, but I will advise affected teams as necessary.Draft 2021 Winter Club Formats
Registering and Assigning players – we had more than 80% of players already registered and assigned before their games last weekend (which is great!) If your club/school has some work to do, please get onto this tonight, or early tomorrow, as it causes a lot of anxiety for your players (and opponents) when they are not already on the iPad to start the game (not to mention we’re only guaranteeing free registration for a while!) Players should go to https://canterbury.basketball/register/ to register. Administrators go to https://passport.sportstg.com/login to assign players to teams.
Boys’ U13 – these grades start on the 15th, and we’re piloting having these teams do their own duty
Help Wanted – Rebecca is still desperate for more people able to referee, and/or Floor Control. If you,. Or someone you know could be interested, please let her know email@example.com
