Canterbury Basketball is running the following programmes and events in May 2025

This Month sees the start of our winter club competitions! You can easily click on any of the links below to find out more, or you can see everything in one place on our Events Calendar.

 

 

  • The U20s National Tournament moves to Tauranga for King’s Birthday weekend where our U20 Men and U20 Women will look to defend their 2024 titles
  • With all U16 A and B, U18 A and B and U20 teams qualified for national tournaments, these team will be reselected for their respective national tournaments
  • All teams begin their build ups to their respective qualifying events with practices and games throughout the community.

 

  • The Game Ready activation (warm up) will be rolled out across all schools and clubs in preparation for the start of the 2025 high school and club season.
    • All clubs and most schools have a designated leader who has been trained in the new warmup, however video and written materials on the programme can be found here.
    • Video content will also be loaded onto CoachMate this month.
  • With the addition of Game Ready programme and other new content, the CoachMate app continue to go from strength to strength. If you haven’t downloaded it yet, DOWNLOAD IT NOW!

 

  • Level Zero Courses and Level One Workshops are being scheduled in conjunction with schools and clubs. Contact scott@canterbury.basketball to be notified of the next courses coming up
  • Sideline development for new and junior referees throughout the winter club ball season.
