Following from a great Term 4 league, the high-pressure development league will retain its unique overtime segment structure, and a practice when teams have a “bye” to cover core skills and concepts within CBA’s SOP. This practice will occur in the middle 30min segment for each team.

The five-week evening league will to be run in term 1 beginning Tuesday February 10th, with all sessions now taking place at Parakiore! Players must have played in the rep/mainlands programme or have aspirations to do so.

Please note:

  • places are limited and registration is first come first served,
  • ages are based on 2026:
    • U16 = 2012 and 2011
    • U18 = 2010 and 2009
    • U20 = 2008 and 2007

Parakiore

U16 Boys- 4.30-6pm

U16/ U18/ U20 girls- 4.30-6pm

U18/ U20 Boys- 6.30-8pm

 

[Please note, we may slightly alter times depending on registration numbers and some players may be asked to play up a grade if that’s what’s best for their development]

 

Games will use the same structure of:

  • Four x 5 minute overtime stop clock periods and two x 15 minute training blocks,
  • Scores reset at the end of each period,
  • 2 league points per period won, 1 per drawn and 0 for a loss,
  • All teams will have a 30min “war room” session prior to each game.

Players will individually register into the boys or girls U16, U18 and U20 (for the 2026 rep season) divisions by the deadline of Monday Feb 10th 2026.

The programme cost is $100, spaces are limited and registrations close Monday February 2nd.

Coaches will then draft all registered players into even strength teams of 7-8 players. All players must wear their respective associations reversible singlet.  Players can register here.

Players must wear the standard Signature / Rep programme reversible unless they are from a non-CBA association in which case they bring a light dark. The Reversible can be purchased on registration, however please do not “re-purchase” as stocks are limited.

Coaches will be selected from the pool of 2026 rep and mainland program coaches wishing to develop along the CBA coach development pathway. They will be supported by CBA coach developers.  Any questions contact Ben@canterbury.basketball.
