The Alloyfold Canterbury Wildcats are well known in the region, having won back to back WBC titles in 2016 and 2017, and have a new team joining their family.
The women’s competition is stepping up another gear in 2020, joining the men’s teams under the #SalsNBL banner, as well as adding a separate D-League competition to help strengthen the pathway for female basketballers in Aotearoa.
Here in Canterbury, a trial is being run to find the players who will take the court this season for the Wildcats under Dene Robinson as well as those players selected to underpin the senior team as they compete in the D-League for the Caracals under Josh Thompson.
