For all players born 2007 to 2012 (U16 = 2012, 2011, U18 = 2010, 2009, U16 = 2008, 2007)
The CBA is a values centric programme focused on creating great teammates. Great teammates:
Have a team first mentality,
Are hard workers,
Are strong listeners,
Work well with others, and
Have a “Next Play Mentality.”
All players trailing for a CBA team should be aware of these values and be ready to dedicate themselves to them prior to registering for trials.
All other information on Canterbury Basketball Association’s Rep programme can be found below. Please ensure you have thoroughly read all information prior to registering for trials to ensure you are willing and able to make the commitment required.
Of special note for the 2026 rep programme is our transition into Parakiore (New Sporting Venue) and the expansion of the U16s programme which will select an addition cohort of players not selected for Rep or Mainlands into a four week CBA Development Programme.
These players along with mainlands teams will be immediately selected following the rep trials March 1st and March 8th. They will train in parallel with the rep teams concluding April 12th with a blitz style tournament. Please be aware to participate in these programmes you MUST attend these trials.

Registrations close Monday 23rd February. Again, please ensure you have read all programme information below prior to registering to ensure you understand the programme values and the commitment required.
Note: Subject to criterion, CBA operate a sporting chance grant which partially contributes to the cost of attending a national tournament. This is within the “Rep Raise” programme that gives all players access to means to raise the costs of their tournaments.
