CBA are excited to have approved the first LDP in the country!
Canterbury Basketball Association are excited to welcome Pioneer Basketball Club under their BNZ Kiwihoops and 2degrees Girls Got Game accreditation as a local delivery provider.

Canterbury’s unique basketball club scene meant Basketball New Zealand had to think more into how they can enable our large clubs to benefit from everything BBNZ, BNZ and 2degrees offer through these great programs.
CBA was accredited as an Approved Delivery Provider (ADP) in 2024. This supported growth in the East Side through in school deliveries, after school programs and exciting events such as GLOWfest and the Hoops and Dreams tour. We are excited to see these benefits help Pioneer and the other clubs we hope to accredit.
National Participation Manager at Basketball New Zealand, Liz Worthington said:
“At Basketball New Zealand, we’re committed to building a connected delivery system that enables quality basketball experiences across Aotearoa. Seeing Pioneer Basketball Club become our first accredited Local Delivery Partner is a significant milestone, recognizing the club’s commitment to excellence in delivering our national participation programmes, BNZ Kiwi Hoops and 2degrees Girls Got Game, as well as Canterbury Basketball Association’s leadership and support as the Accredited Delivery Partner guiding them through this journey. Together, they are demonstrating the power of strong local and regional partnerships to create lasting impact for participants, coaches, and communities.”
CBA GM Andy Doherty had this to say about the opportunity:
“Working closely with BBNZ it is exciting as we sign up Pioneer to be the first LDP in New Zealand. Any initiative that gets us working together and providing more opportunities and a better playing experience is always going to be a winner.”
